North Carolina Aquariums License Plate Program

Now you can show your support for the three North Carolina Aquariums on your car, truck or trailer as you drive down the highway! These colorful plates will be available as soon as we have commitments and payments for the first 300. We need your help to reach this number as quickly as possible.

The cost of the specialty tags is just $30 in addition to your regular annual license plate fee. Of this amount, $20 goes to support the exhibits, programs and activities at the North Carolina Aquariums. The remaining $10 helps fund other state projects such as highway beautification and visitor centers.

You may also wish to personalize your plate for an additional fee of $30, which allows you to choose a combination of four letters or numbers
